Thankful for Transformation
"Transformation in the world happens when people are healed and start investing in other people." -Michael W. Smith
Today would have been the 63rd birthday of my first wife Ellen. The quote above reminds me of her. She was healed of blindness in 1975 and was so totally transformed by the Lord. Her love and passion for Jesus rocked my world and changed my life forever. So on this her birthday I give thanks to God, for His transforming power, on this twenty-seventh day of November - the month of Thanksgiving!

Wow! Have you shared this story before? I would live to read it if you have. Praise the Lord for such wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie! You can read about it in one of my early blog posts titled The Weekend that Changed My Life.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful story of God's love and redemption and healing and transformation! I am so glad that Jesus found you both and that we know your Ellen is with Him now. One of my dear friends experienced the singing in English one moment and singing a heavenly language the next as God totally transformed her life that moment from alcoholism, too. I was standing with her as it happened. His miracles and mercies are forever.
